Our very own Wetlands Gem, Crex Meadows Wildlife Area encompasses 30 thousand acres and is home to over 270 species of birds, including a number of endangered species. Stop by the Visitor’s Center just north of Grantsburg from March through September.

The only site of its kind, the Forts offer guests the opportunity to step back in time with authentic restorations, reenactments and world-class events.
Timberland Hills is a 24 Km trail system situated on 2400 wooded acres of Burnett County forest land is ideally suited for cross country skiing. Timberland Hills offers fun and excitement for the beginning skier to the expert. Timberland West is a 2.5 Km lighted ski trail.
