Additions include a 690′ boardwalk
Burnett County’s summer-use ATV/UTV trails expanded just a bit more this year – adding to our 50+ mile system.
A new, 4-mile stretch of Trail 45 between Broeffle Rd. and North River Rd. southwest of Danbury is now open to summer ATV/UTV use. This stretch of trail was previously limited to snowmobile and winter ATV use, and ATVers had to use town road routes in that area in the summertime.
Burnett County received grant funding through the state ATV program to construct three new boardwalk bridges crossing wetland areas (the longest one 690’), and gravel other parts of the trail to improve it for summer use.
