Cozy Coffee Shops in Burnett County

Cozy Coffee Shop

Burnett County may be small, but there is a love for coffee in this area that goes way beyond the two stoplights. Whether you are passing through or are a native to the area, you HAVE to stop in and indulge in these two delightful coffee shops if you are looking for a festive holiday drink or a home-cooked meal or pastry.

The Chattering Squirrel at The Shops at Crooked Lake

“Come For The Coffee, Stay For The Chatter”

Owned and operated by local business entrepreneurs, Jake and Holly Mangelsen, The Chattering Squirrel is the perfect cozy coffee shop located right in the heart of Siren. From custom drinks, to the best panini I’ve ever had; they have everything you need to make your heart overflow with joy and happiness.

Their menu has an abundance of unique items, as well as more traditional foods that they make to perfection.

Not only do they have great coffee and custom drinks; but they also have dozens of hot teas, delicious hot chocolate, smoothies and homemade sweet & tasty desserts. If you are having a hard time deciding what to order, they also provide great recommendations!

Want to have The Squirrel at an event? They also do catering and boxed lunches for groups (big or small!)

Their mission has always been to, “be a blessing to each person that walks through our door.” They have proven that both inside the shop, and out and about in the community. The Mangelsen’s are an incredible family that go above and beyond to serve in whatever way possible. So if you are in the area and looking for great food, drinks, and conversation; this is your stop!

Fast Fact: Both of these coffee shops have free Wi-Fi so if you’re looking for a place to get some work done while you chow down, these are two great options! I have spent hours in both shops writing blogs just like this one. ~
