DESCRIPTION:Burnett Medical Center is excited to sponsor the 2025 BMC’s Go for the Gust event during Grantsburg’s “Big Gust Days”. This year’s event will take place on Saturday\, June 7\, 2025. \nBurnett Medical Center organizes the race and donates all the race’s profits to a different local charitable organization each year. This year’s race recipient is Youth of Burnett County Prevention Coalition. \nSchedule of events:\n6:00am-7:40am: Registration\n7:30am: Start of 10k race\n7:40am: Start of 5k race \nRace Fee:\n$30 for 5k/$25 ages 65+ and 16 & under.\n$40 for 10k/ $35 ages 65+ and 16 & under.\nSame day registration fees increase by $5.  \nHow to Register:\nRegister online at raceentry.com\, click ‘find races’ and search ‘gust’. You can also register by visiting burnettmedicalcenter.com/about-us/events\, and downloading a registration form to be mailed in. Everyone who pre-registers by Friday\, May 2\, will receive a free moisture wick t-shirt – so register early! Sorry\, no refunds. \nAwards:\nAwards will be awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females in the 5k and 10k race.

DESCRIPTION:Burnett Medical Center will be participating in Wisconsin’s Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative on Saturday\, October 26th\, 2024\, in partnership with the Grantsburg Police Department. The Prescription Drug Take-Back Day goal is to provide a safe\, convenient\, and responsible means of disposal of prescription medications\, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of these medications. Unused prescription medications in homes create a public health and safety concern because they can be accidentally ingested\, stolen\, misused\, and abused. \nMark your calendar\, from 9:00am-12:00pm at Burnett Medical Center on Saturday\, October 26th\, 2024\, anyone is welcome to come and safely and anonymously dispose of unused or expired medicines and controlled substances. \nAccepted Items:\n•	Prescription medications (Schedules II-V controlled substances and non-controlled drugs)\n•	Over-the-counter medications\n•	Liquid medication bottles-less than 4 oz. in zip-lock bag\nNot Accepted Items:\n•	Illegal (Schedule I) drugs\n•	Medical devices\, Batteries\n•	Aerosol cans\, Inhalers\n•	Chemicals\n•	Mercury-containing devices\n•	Radiopharmaceuticals\n•	Liquid antineoplastic agents (Such as chemotherapy drugs and cytotoxic drugs) \nNew!
