The Duck Banding Program at Crex Meadows begins on Friday, August 14th at 5:45 PM, and it is an amazing chance to experience wildlife research in action! Participants will meet at the Visitor Center before caravanning to the banding site, where DNR wildlife managers will guide everyone through capturing, banding, and releasing local ducks! It is a hands‑on learning experience that gives you a close look at conservation work while enjoying the beauty of Grantsburg’s wetlands!

This program is open to ages 10 and up and offers a fun and educational evening for families, nature lovers, and anyone curious about wildlife management! It is a fantastic opportunity to support Crex Meadows and spend time outdoors with the Friends of Crex Meadows Wildlife Area!
