THE CREATIVE ARTS

Arts & Culture

In a place rich with natural and inspiring beauty, it’s no wonder the arts are an integral part of our small-town landscape. Burnett County is home to some truly wonderful artisans and events, each a celebration of the creative culture.

For those drawn to the visual arts, you’ll discover our gallery and artistic events are second to none. Just south of Webster is a gallery which showcases the photography of at-risk youth. All proceeds from this space go right back into programming aimed at helping children find hope and healing on their journey with mental illness. Craft fairs and art shows around the area on key weekends and in between allow cottage industry artists to display and sell beautiful handmade wares in a fun and family-friendly setting.

Music is also a key tenant of our arts culture. In the summers both Siren and Grantsburg host concerts in their respective city parks, bringing sometimes hundreds of people together to enjoy good music and good friends. Churches and schools offer concerts throughout the year as well, where all are welcome.

Performance art is alive and well in Burnett County. From quality high school productions to an acting troupe with a highly regarded summer production, enjoying a play with family and friends while in the area is a must.
