Burnett Dairy Cooperative | Burnett County’s 2019 Top Culture/History Experience

Burnett Dairy Co-Op

You voted, and the winner of the best culture/history experience is the Burnett Dairy Cooperative!

The Burnett Dairy is chock-full of history and delicious cheese. Dating back to the 1890s, the Burnett Dairy started as the Branstad and Wood River creameries. In the 1960s, the two merged to become one profitable location in Alpha, WI (named after its Alpha De Laval cream separator).

Today, the farmer-owned dairy produces more than just local dairy products. It also provides a bistro inside the store with great food options, agronomy services, fuels, grain, feed, animal health and nutrition services, and a general store with farm supplies.

The Burnett Dairy offers all kinds of goodies that you really can’t get anywhere else. With over 200 individual dairies operating within the co-op, there is no shortage of quality cheese to be enjoyed across WI and the United States.
