Great Folle Avoine Fur Trade Rendezvous

The Great Folle Avoine Fur Trade Rendezvous returns Tuesday, July 21st through Sunday, July 26th, 2026, bringing a vibrant living history experience to Forts Folle Avoine Historical Park! Visitors can explore more than one hundred authentic pre-1840s encampments along the Yellow River, located at the very site where two competing fur trade companies wintered from 1802 to 1804. Guests can tour the recreated fur posts, meet reenactors demonstrating essential frontier skills, and experience black powder shooting, traditional archery, and tomahawk throwing.
Trader’s Row offers an impressive selection of period-correct goods, including clothing, animal skins, rustic camp furnishings, handcrafted jewelry, and beadwork. Whether you are searching for practical camp gear or unique decorative pieces, the craftsmanship on display is remarkable!
Camp fees are $35 per camp and include firewood, ice, hooters, and plenty of fun. New this year, Burnett County Historical Society members will receive a $10 discount on camp fees for all Encampments and Rendezvous events.
