It is time to spoil our dads with some fun adventures and amazing gifts from Burnett County.
Instead of a tie or a coffee mug this year, take things up a notch with a trip that dad will love. Of course, not all dads are the same, so we’ve narrowed things down to a few categories.
Get inspiration below and have fun!
For The Outdoorsman Dad
Some dads just can’t get enough outdoor adventure. From biking to fishing, these spots are filled with fresh air fun.
Outdoor Recreation
There is nothing like spending the day on the St. Croix, Namekagon or any of the other beautiful streams in Burnett County. Outfitters scattered throughout Burnett County offer tube, canoe and kayak rentals as well as pickup and drop off services with Pardun’s Shuttle Service, so you can enjoy a fun and relaxing float down the river with family.
Cast a line into one of our 508 lakes, and await your trophy catch.
Coyland Creek has two sporting clay courses. One course is through the woods and one is a field course. Both are equipped with automatic throwers, gun racks, and new shooting stands! There is always a fun and challenging display of targets to challenge dad to a competition this Father’s day.
Gandy Dancer Trail
Arguably, our most famous trail is the Gandy Dancer State Recreational Trail, which follows the path of an old rail line. The limestone surface stretches for 98 miles across multiple counties and is the perfect biking trail.– Combine a work out with a game of BINGO! Gandy Bingo is a great way to experience the iconic Burnett County trail and is fun for all ages!
For the Golfing Dad
Dad would love to hit the links!
Burnett County is home to a full range of golf courses, from a par 3 to championship-level courses.
In the heart of downtown Grantsburg, you’ll find the municipal course with rolling hills, tall oak trees and small greens.
To the east is Siren National, arguable one of the most scenic courses with over 100 feet of elevation changes. This beautifully manicured 19-hole course proves both challenging and exciting. Remember to make a quick spot in the Village of Siren for a round at Moose Mulligan’s miniature golf.
North of Webster you’ll find three more courses. Whitetail Wilderness provides a fun round on their executive course. Fox Run offers two courses, a par 3 and regulation 9-hole, both with tree-lined fairways. They are a must for golfers, no matter their skill level. Sand Greens, just off County Road U, features Wisconsin’s only sand greens.
Head northeast for a round at Voyager Village, an 18-hole championship course nestled comfortably in our Wisconsin landscape.
