National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week

Animal shelter appreciation week!

Happy National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week! We are extremely grateful to the Humane Society of Burnett County for their love for animals and continuous dedication to the community. The HSBC is in the process of transitioning from their current shelter on Midtown Road in Siren to their much larger facility, The Peggy Schilling Animal Adoption and Education Center located in Webster.

Construction has started, and funds are being raised in order to make their dreams a reality so that the HSBC will have the ability to double the number of RESCUES, REUNITE more animals to their loved ones, REHOME and RETHINK the way people go about adopting animals. Their goal is to raise $350,000 to go toward the completion of repairs and renovations on the facility.

The HSBC Mission: “Our Mission is to provide a safe haven for stray or unwanted animals, to foster the human-animal bond, to promote responsible pet ownership and to end pet overpopulations through spay/neuter.”

Each and every dollar makes a difference when it comes to this renovation being completed. What better week to donate than Animal Shelter Appreciation Week? All donations will be recognized, and unique naming and memorial opportunities are available for substantial contributions.
