For us northerners, St. Patrick’s Day is one of the best holiday’s of the year! The locals wait patiently all year to let their true Irish colors shine and shamelessly party for one wild weekend! The bars will be flooded with locals and tourists dressed in their best green outfits. The St. Patrick’s Day parade in Webb Lake is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Burnett County! People gather from all over to partake in the parade festivities!
Before you look too far ahead, be sure you don’t miss out on the Siren St. Patrick’s Parade on Saturday, March 8th, beginning at 2pm! With the purchase of a lucky button, you will be entered to win many extravagant prizes such as a two night stay in a luxurious suite in either the Crooked Lake Lodge or the Best Western Northwoods! Buttons will be available for purchase at the Pheasant Inn, the Pour House, or the Tavern On Main, with the drawing beginning at 4:30pm. The Pour House will be offering a corned beef and cabbage dinner all night, with a DJ performing at 6:30pm. The Pheasant Inn will also have a corned beef and cabbage dinner with live music from 1-5pm. The Tavern On Main will have a St. Patty’s happy hour from 5-7pm.
Be sure to rest up and stay hydrated the week after the Siren Celebration because you’re going to need it. The St. Patrick’s Day parade in Webb Lake is truly unmatched. The parade begins at 1pm on Saturday, March 15th, and the fun will continue into the night. The parade runs on County Road H in Webb Lake, starting at the Cabaret and ending at the Lumberjack. You can book your entire four day stay at the Webb Lake Inn for $650, with the fourth night free! Continue the excitement and head over to the Oak Ridge Inn for live music from the Smarty Pants from 2:30-6:30pm.
Some of the local bars provide buses to transport people to and from the parade. Whitetail Wilderness will have a bus leaving at 10:15am and returning back around 4pm. The cost of the bus would be $25 and even includes a meal with plenty of water! The party doesn’t end after returning to Whitetail, as DJ Adam will be waiting to play for the night. Along with Whitetail, Whiskey Joe’s in Siren will also have a bus going to Webb Lake for $20, leaving at 10am.
After a long day of partying, be sure to get your traditional Irish dinner at Voyager Village on the 15th. Enjoy live music from 7-10pm and a $2 green beer special. And if you can’t make it on Saturday, no problem, the meal deals will continue all day on Sunday!
Burnett County truly puts on a show for this Irish Celebration! Whether you’re looking to party it up all weekend, or prefer to keep your celebration simple by eating a true Irish meal, your wish is Burnett County’s demand!
