Summer Events in Burnett County

There truly is something special about summer in Burnett County, Wisconsin. The local businesses outdo themselves with events planned all summer to make sure there’s always a fun and unique activity to do!

Start this summer off right with the Burnett Area Arts Festival on June 21st, at the Northwest Passage Gallery! This is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Burnett Area Arts Group! It’s a family friendly event with live music, food vendors, art displays, and hands-on activities. This is the perfect laid back summer activity to enjoy with friends and family!

After you have indulged in that fun and artistic activity in late June, the Fourth of July will be right around the corner! Nobody, (and I mean nobody), does the Fourth of July like Burnett County! Not all activities have been posted yet, so we don’t have a full schedule for the week at this time, but we do know the firework and parade order! The Webster Fourth of July Parade and Celebration will be on the 4th, along with the Siren Parade, and fireworks to follow at dusk, on Crooked Lake! Voyager Village will also have a ATV/UTV and golf cart parade celebration on the 4th. Webster will be having their fireworks at the Central Burnett County Fairgrounds on July 5th! Siren is also having their annual street dance on July 3rd, starring The Dweebs and beginning at 8pm! These are just some of the many events that have been revealed for this year’s Fourth of July, but be sure to check our event calendar regularly for new events!!

Not too long after the eventful Fourth of July celebrations will we be rolling into the 48th annual Grantsburg World Championship Snowmobile Watercross from July 18th-20th, at Memory Lake Park in Grantsburg! This thrilling three-day event is a highlight of the summer, featuring top snowmobile racers competing on open water. Racers aim to capture the World Champion title and a substantial cash prize. Live music and street dances will occupy Friday and Saturday night. Families can take advantage of the vast Kid Zone, featuring eight inflatables, a rock wall, t-shirt cannon chases, and more! And children five and under are free! Fireworks will go off on Saturday at dusk for a perfect cap off to the weekend! This eventful weekend is an absolute must experience!

Another noteworthy event at the end of the summer is the Jordan Buck Day. This day commemorates when James Jordan, 22 years old, shot a massive 10-point whitetail on November 20, 1914, in his hometown of Danbury in Burnett County, Wisconsin. It is a world record holding Buck with its antlers measuring 206-1/8”! We will celebrate the famous Buck on September 27th with a parade on Main Street in Danbury and a huge celebration with food trucks, booths, and entertainment!
