Night Golfing at Fox Run Golf

You voted, and the must-do event of 2017 is Night Golfing at Fox Run Golf!

The Night Golf Scramble Tournament is an annual event hosted by Fox Run since 2005, and is traditionally held the Friday closest to the full moon in July. This year, they are looking at Friday, July 7th (though be sure to double check with our event calendar). Additionally, there is usually a second event in August for the St. Croix Valley Health Care Foundation.

Both of these tournaments are run as a three-person scramble, with each person bringing only two clubs – sharing clubs between players is encouraged (5 clubs + 1 putter).
“The original concept was that players could each be responsible for their two clubs in one hand and their drink in the other,” says owner Amy Belland.

The scrambles max out at 54 players, and tournaments fill up fast as soon as the details are released each year.  Players show up in festive attire, dressed up in glowing accessories. The tee markers, pins/flags, cups and hazards are all lit up in addition to the golf balls.

“We use a brand of golf balls that are impact activated and stay lit up in a variety of colors for the entire round – a major upgrade from the old days when a 1.5” glow stick was inserted into a clear golf ball,” adds Amy.
